SNZ has been established on a mission to master AP1000 nuclear grade zirconium metal manufacturing technology, to realize the localization and self-reliance of national 3rd generation nuclear power technology since it came into being in the background of introduction, absorption and innovation of the 3rd generation nuclear power technology.

SNZ has set up the first integrated nuclear grade zirconium material production system, and built a set of standardized processing system and QA system to benchmark the state of the art standards recognized by the authorities at home and abroad. The establishment of SNZ breaks through the key bottleneck restricting the development of China's nuclear power industry for a long time, and realizes the localization of nuclear grade zirconium material manufacturing technology.
