On June 28th, China Nuclear Energy Association scientific and technological achievements appraisal was held at SPIC Central Research Institute. Mr. Yuan Gaihuan, General Manager of SNZ, attended this appraisal meeting.

Through reviewing the documentation and presentation, the Appraisal Committee agreed that the three achievements reached the advanced international level, had good social benefits, economic benefits and promoting prospects.

The three achievements are ID & OD Surface Treatment Technology of Zircaloy TREX, Process Research on Zircaloy Strip Continuous Anneal for PWR, and Comprehensive Treatment Technology of Odor Pollution in Nuclear Grade Zirconia Industrial Production. The three achievements passed the appraisal successfully, which fully embodied that SNZ had made great progress and promotion on R&D and innovation. In the future, SNZ would dig deeper and tease more scientific and technological achievements persistently, providing help for Zirconium R&D and innovation.

This Appraisal Committee was composed of well-known experts from China Nuclear Energy Association, State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research & Design Institute, China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., Tsinghua University, SPIC Central Research Institute, Beijing University of Technology, Tongji University, etc.
